As from September 2017 RASAC will be providing a new counselling service funded through NHS England to survivors and victims of sexual violence or abuse. This service will be available to all age groups in the RASAC post code area and also in addition to all under 16-year-olds and families who have a North Hampshire post code.

The service will offer anyone who has been to or involved with any of the following;

  • Hampshire SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre), also known as Treetops.
  • The Police, regarding the reporting of a sexual crime.
  • An ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor).
  • Paediatrics following a sexual violence / abuse incident.

This service is for anyone both Adults and Under 18s younger who have suffered unwanted sexual experiences whether recent or non-recent including historical Childhood Sexual Abuse ( sometimes known as CSA).

The Service will provide  a free assessment within a couple of weeks of contact followed by up to 8 free specialist counselling sessions within a month of contact with a trained sexual violence Counsellor. This trauma counselling will be confidential and reviewed to ensure it meets the needs of those undergoing the counselling and is not time limited.

All professionals can refer a survivor or victim into the service by contacting RASAC on the usual routes and will be sent a secure referral form for completion, or any survivor or victim  or responsible adult can refer themselves by contacting RASAC direct . Please go to the contact button to send an e-mail or for more details.

This service is currently funded until April 2018.
