START strives to include its service users in all aspects of its services and and consult on what ideas we have around ways to improve the service we provide and also discuss any issues that have arisen. We review policies and procedures, look at how to best reach and support survivors especially those who are hard to reach and have a special advisory panel for our LOTUS residential programme.
The START Advisory Group consists of some of the START Friends Team and some of the START Management Team and meet quarterly with both male and female representatives on the consultative panel. Because our service is heavily female based we do invite two females to every male to the meetings to ensure a true representation of our services, a decision which the group itself decided upon.
