As announced through our Twitter feed, RASAC is proud to have been recognized for being accredited as a national quality provider of sexual trauma services for male victims and survivors across Hampshire.
RASAC already provide a quality service to all Adults but this quality approval rating will enable it to further promote our services to males and enhance our growing reputation in this area of sexual trauma counseling which we hope will encourage more males to come forward for the free counseling that we offer. Any male wanting to know what thy can expect from RASAC can surf the RASAC website and see we have a dedicated Adult “road to recovery” which details the process from start to finish and beyond.
Steve, the RASAC manager, says “I would like to thank NHS England for funding our application to become a quality provider of sexual trauma services to males across Hampshire, the RASAC team and the male survivors who were involved in the national assessment process. The quality endorsement is a fantastic achievement and underlines that while the majority of our referrals come from adult females, our services are of the highest quality for anyone who needs us regardless of gender or identity.
This endorsement of the work we do with male survivors is only the beginning of seeking to continually improve what we do and through our Friends of RASAC work we always seek to make improvements with input from those that we serve to make sure we are on the right track.”
